ACT for Bees@ Weston Community Orchard Working Bee Sun 19th March 9am -3.30pm

Come and join us in restoring the old CIT Horticultural Training Orchard back to it’s former glory. The Weston CIT was burnt in the 2003 bushfires and last year Canberra Biodynamic Gardening Group and ACT for Bees were given custodianship of the orchard by the ACT Govt. We have been carefully cutting back the blackberries from around the old fruit trees and grapevines and mulching the ground. It is nearly time to start pruning, but there are still lots of blackberries and we would love you to come and join us. We enjoy meeting new friends and sharing lunch together.
Wear sturdy shoes, long sleeves, a hat and please bring secateurs, clipping tools etc, water and lunch to share.
